hi all,

I have a question about the explanation of the external alternator output.

If you look at the installation manual 24-00-00, does the sentence

(Complies ~ 4800 rpm crankshaft speed)

mean that an engine with an external alternator must not exceed 4800 rpm?

Thank you in advance.

No, having an external alternator does not affect engine speed limitations. All this poor translation is saying is that the alternator reaches maximum output when it is spinning at 6000 rpm. Due to belt gearing, this occurs when the engine reaches 4800 rpm.
