I have had this happen apparently randomly many times.
I haven't logged out in months.
I tend to be long-winded and may sometimes take an hour to create a post.
Sometimes the BACK function will recover the text, sometimes not.
Before hitting the Post Reply button I will often hit Ctrl-A, and Ctrl-C to copy the post to the Clipboard, Just in case.

PPS: have you logged out of the site recently? Our site is configured to leave you logged in for a long time, but if your local browser's session cache is getting corrupted, it might be helpful if you logged out of rotax-owner and then logged in again - that would give you a fresh clean session.

I believe I am logging out, every time I leave the Forum - is this not correct?

No, just leaving the forum pages doesn't log you out of your session (if it did, then you would have to log in again every time...)

After an extended break, this phenomena has started again.

I make a point of logging in/out every day - the loss of content, seems to happens after my first response of the day - get the error message. After that the system works fine.

On another point - the Topic New Message/Content highlight seems to have stopped working - have to enter the Topic eg 912/914, to see if anything new, since last visit.

Hi Sean!  the link to 'recent posts' is https://www.rotax-owner.com/en/forum?view=topics&recent=true

( "recent topics" in the Discover menu above)

I'm having trouble duplicating your issues on any standard web browser, perhaps you have some 3rd party plugins or unconventional settings that are affecting things?  Please check your email for some troubleshooting  info, thanks!
