pull start cord on 503 replacement

I have a 503 and need to replace the starter cord. I understand the winding but will I encounter a problem with the oil injector that I have to remove. The oil injector goes through the middle on the starter assembly. Will the oil injector slip out of the way and easily go back into its position?
