Hello everyone, Nick? Bill? hope you all are well,
Is it normal on the run-up not to have any drop on RPM on MAG CHECK on this engine??
Any input will be appreciated,
Regards

My 618 has more drop on one coil then the other I find you least get 150 rpm drop but the taco,s are pretty poor quality so will be hard to get a got reading . Cheers dan

What rpm are you doing the mag check.? If you see little to no drop then you may be too low an rpm. Raise the rpm up higher then do a check. If you are using an analog gauge verses digital it may be harder to see low mag drops especially with low rpm. Last, it may just be your gauge.

Hello Lee and the rest as well, thank you for the input, I usualy do the mag check at 3000rpm If I pay a lot of attention I may notice by ear a minor drop but I don't rely on the Tachometer as there is no indication, I was expecting at peast 50 rpm drom as usuall take place in GA aircrafts,
    Regardsto all
