I have a 503 single carb on my Six Chuter Part103 that I just purchased this spring. Wanting to get off to a fresh start, I performed all the typical recommended maintenance, to include a carb rebuild (great videos on this site).

While I'm a new PPC pilot, I'm having difficulty maintaining a constant cruise RPM. If I set the throttle to 4800-4900, the engine will drop to 4500. Then I'll bump it just a bit, and it jumps to 5100. On such a light machine, the effect of that window is dramatic when trying maintain constant low level flight.

I recently purchased a dual carb set up but have yet to install it. Will the DC set up improve the engine's ability to maintain a constant, consistent RPM?
