Greetings all! Forgive the question if the info exists elsewhere here on the forum but my efforts at searching failed to yield the answer I need. Essentially I am setting up a 582 on a Quicksilver MX rebuild and have new cables (carbs/oil pump) and am unable to get the carbs adjusted properly. I have enough throw, or travel, in the slides but it's not in the right place which leads me to believe the inner cable is not long enough. I have the adjustment barrels at top of carb run all the way down and the slides are open more than 5/16" at widest point but when full throttle slides are more than 1/4" above throat. The cables are new Aircraft Spruce long-reach system for the 582 (plugs up) with the carb cable housings 18" and 22". Could I perhaps have some cables that weren't made up properly? Are there published lengths for the inner cable? I'm not opposed to making up new inner cables if I have to. Well, actually I am when I should be able to get the proper assemblies off the shelf. But if I gotta then I gotta! If anyone has seen this issue or have suggestions please post up. Thank you!
