    Hi Stuart,

    As far as re-shimming the gearbox it is in the Heavy Maint. manual, but you do need a special tool and at least a 12 ton hydraulic press. You really should have some training doing this as this can get expensive if you mess it up and at the very least three times the work taking the gearbox on and off if it isn't right. I would recommend you seek out an IRMT.

    So, having the same issue. Want to know how serious it is (80 hour engine) and how to find out the slipper clutch torque.

    Elias,

    Look in the Maintenance Manual, Line:  Checking the Friction Torque in Free Rotation.

    It seems unlikely for you to have the above problem in an 80h engine; but what oil have you been using?
