    Hi all

Given the nature of the major work done (pistons, cylinders, gearbox rebuild) and it only a few hours ago....call the guy or send it back.  Troubleshooting via the internet is most likely a very bad idea on an expensive item like your engine.  Just my view.

And just to point out, Roger must have magic ears if he can hear what end of the engine noise is coming from from a computer speaker video, just sayin.  if the noise is at the ignition side of the engine why bring up the gearbox work?  I am still confused on that part. I will say the best advice is what Sean said above.

    Cheers

Perhaps there is a loose or significantly out-of-adjustment trigger coil or pick-up sensor -- maybe a loose screw or bolt flopping around??  Pulling the rear cover off is a good place to start troubleshooting.

    RW,

I do agree it's hard at times to hear, see or understand things when you're not there in person. Sometimes it's just your best guess without more info or pictures.

    RW,

Happy New Year my friend! ?
