Rotax 912ULS Main Bearings

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to purchase main bearings from any Rotax service center or repair station, as they are restricted parts available only to designated Rotax overhaul facilities. Even if you were to acquire a new set of main bearings, there are different size variations, and the correct size can only be determined by taking precise measurements of the crankcase. This measurement process is detailed in the Rotax Overhaul Manual, which is also restricted.

So, even if you manage to get a set, there’s no guarantee they will be the correct ones.

Your best option is to send the engine to a designated Rotax overhaul facility, where they can perform the work properly. I highly recommend reaching out to Morris and Ronnie Smith at SMLA (South Mississippi Light Aircraft) at (601) 947- 4953.
