Hi,

I have old 912uls (12 years old).

How much should I need to tighten the 4 bolts 20/40/60 Nm?

    Hi Gil

look in the heavy maintenance manual, section 71.  Rotax only uses a ring mount and you need to have the correct value of the bolt however remember this is based on a full contact length of 25mm (1 inch) into the block threads.  Generally the kit manufacturer should also cover this in their manual.  See the highlighted text in attachment.

    Cheers

Interestingly, there has just been a service bulletin on my Eurostar airframe with the 912UL engine when torques have been specified as 40Nm but this does not use the Rotax mounting frame.

    Hello again Gil

The 4 you show are not part of the Rotax supply and therefore would be called out by the OEM or kit supplier.  Rotax does not know everyones isolator make and size.  If you can't get it from your OEM then use a generic torque value for the size and thread of the bolt and nut.  That information should be available from your bolt supplier.

    Cheers
