For those who think that doing a "burp" when engine/oil hot will somehow rob the engine of oil lubrication on next start.
After assembly, the engine likly spent many months (even a year or so) with no significant oil inside it. I do not recall any concerns about corrosion or starting a new engine (subject to following the recommended oil purge procedure).
Engines that are not expected to run for a long period of time, are supposed to be stored according to Rotax recommended procedure - hot/cold burping has little to do with this.
Depending on relative position of the oil tank to crankcase & oil level, an engine left unused for a very extended time period, may see oil drain/fill to/from the crankcase/tank and oil channels. See above note on storing engine.
Hot burping does not remove the need for, first start of the day, cold burping (See Roger Lees advice above). Hot burping speeds/shortens the cold burp activity.
Hot burping is not an engine management issue, its a pilot convenience activity, with no posative or negative effect on the engine.😈
