Most likely the springs were installed due to the hose bends being too tight. I don't think the report says the lines blocked, just too high crank case pressure, probably still due to bends being too tight and springs taking up the small space inside the hoses.
I followed the installation manual and checked all of that including the suction side and all was fine, however the suction side has higher vacuum but still within spec when the oil is colder than 40 degrees C. That knowledge has caused me too operate the engine more gently until warm.

Hi Murray,
".....when the oil is colder than 40 degrees C. That knowledge has caused me too operate the engine more gently until warm."
Rotax operators manual advises keeping RPM below 2500 until oil reaches 50C.
Since new my current engine (now 200hrs) has ejected more oil than I would like - still within Rotax consumption specifications but more than my old. 950 hr, 912 ULS which did not require top ups between oil changes.
I am comming to think, that a contributing factor, to oil exiting the breather, may be oil temperature.
I never exceed 2500 rpm during warm up. When the oil hits the 50C, I start to taxi, however to get moving, on grass, I may hit 4000 rpm.
I am wondering if this rpm, when the oil is still on the cool side, may be contributing to oil being blown out of my breather
I am going to try for a higher pre taxi oil temperature (60C?) and see if this reduces the oil on my aircraft belly.😈
