Fuel Pump Differences
Likely a dumb question here: I'm currently helping a friend with the Rotax 5 year replacement schedule on a 912ULS. We ordered a new fuel pump and noticed some distinct design differences between them. I wanted to get some community feedback on the compatibility/safety/reliability of the new pump. The old pump is likely over 10 years old.
The Differences Noticed:
-
Sealing: The old pump utilizes an O-ring for sealing, while the new one does not.
-
Venting/Drainage: The old pump features a nipple for a vent tube, whereas the mew one has a standard weep hole on top.
Thanks
