Fitting aftermarket EFI on 914?

Hi all,
I've been looking for a used 914 (for a homebuilt project) and may have found one, but it lacks carbs and ignition circuitry, presumably also the TCU. While I could try to find those components from some other engine, I'm wondering if it would be possible to fit an aftermarket EFI system (like the SimpleDigitalSystem EM-5) on a 914? I saw it has been done on a 912, so it should be possible, but I don't know involved it would be. Any hints would be appreciated.
Failing this solution, any idea how much it would cost to get replacements for carbs/ignition/TCU?
