I'm in the process of changing the engine mounts on my Rans S-6. I'm having trouble finding the mounts. CPS and Lockwood do not have them. These are about 2-2.5 inches round. Each donut is about .5 - .75 thick. Any idea where I might find them.

    Ryan,

The mounts you describe sound like either a Lord or a Barry mount. They are about the dimensions you describe. they are two round discs. One has a steel sleeve built into it and the other rubber disc fits down over the sleeve. It has a single bolt which goes through the engine mount and frame with no additional flanges or bolts.

My 912 uses the medium hardness Lord mount which I get from Aircraft Spruce. They have pictures of all the different mounts so you should have no trouble matching them with yours.

    Ryan,

The S-6 mounts are available at RANS. Should be part # 912Donut-3, you will need 8 of them.

RANS website parts pdf is located here. http://rans.com/aircraft/PDFs/aircraft_parts_pdf_2011.pdf

Call RAQNS at (785) 625-6346 and ask for aircraft parts.
