Roger: I did pull the bowl and the floats looked good. They are relatively new having been replaced last year.

The engine was not shaking badly when the fuel vented. It would almost go in a cycle where, it would be at idle, then the rpms would start dropping, at the same time it would start venting fuel, and then recover (or die) with the rpms coming back up, only to do it again

The engine has about 600 hours and is a 2004. Time to rebuild? What would you charge to rebuild them if I mailed them to you? Thanks, Steve

It is possible it could be a float height issue, an air leak or a needle valve. Even a partial obstruction somewhere may lead to this. At the very lest they may need a good flushing through every orifice.

Why don't you give me a call and we can discuss this further and discuss any rebuild. I would like a little more info. I do rebuild a lot of carbs so if we need to go there it isn't a problem.

    Call anytime.
