Hi. After big maintenance i put on my water cooler a hot air duct. After this my CHT temperature increased to about 95*C (about 10*C outside) @ 4500RPM and up to 100-105*C @ 5000RPM.
I wonder, what is the best, safe temperature on CHT (i have one probe on CYL3).

What can be wrong with my ducting. My friend have simmilar air catcher on about half of the cooler and he have about 85*C. In my applications ducting have 2 80* turns - it can be a problem?

I haven't water temp (using conventional coolant) but there was not boils.

My guess is that your air flow isn't working like you think it is. Sometimes when we put air channeling dams in place and then air doesn't really go where we think it does. The 80 degree bends could affect the air flow. Air flow over the coolant and or oil cooler works best when it is a direct flow. You may also have an issue where you have the air exit. It may be causing a positive pressure area and some people add cowl flaps to help assist air flow out the bottom of the cowl. (it's just one method)
I do think for 10c (50F) OAT that the 100c is a little high. 100c (212F) for a CHT is not bad where I live in Tucson, AZ in the southwest US and seeing those temps during the hotter months is normal. When the OAT is 10c I may see around 185F or 85c for a CHT. I think you need to take a harder look at the air flow.
Out of curiosity what is the oil temp with these CHT's and is the oil cooler in the same place as the coolant radiator?

You probably right. @98*C i have abot 80-85*C on oil.
I don't know why I have so difference.

    You can see my photos.

Photos are from winter - I had to cover coolers now I have opened. Today I removed catcher from back of the water cooler and it look's like temperature goes down. I have to make smaller catcher and avoid hard turns on air duct. I still thinking how to remake my cowling to make intake tunell for water radiator.

I wonder, how it's made in Rans S6. Very similar plane and I can't see water cooler or inlet on photos..
