Hi.
Today I reinstalled my gearbox after 600h check.
During tightening M30 nut on crankshaft I have not noticed that my torque wrench is one direction only and in second direction not indicate torque.
I tighten nut a lot and then I realized that something is wrong. So now I have a little bit overtighten M30 nut on my crankshaft. I used new friction washer and glue and now I'm thinking what to do. Leave it as is or unscrew and tighten again.
This part of engine is very hard and it's no so easy to destroy something. What you think?

I don't know how much over tight we are talking about, but it may be a good idea to loosen and re-torque. If it was only a pound or two it would be okay, but your not sure of how much and too much isn't good.

Ok. I retightened it again. One more, on rotax-owner video i saw that I should to measure dial of crankshaft. I haven't tool for it, it's really mandatory to check it? It was no problems before, clean filters and magnetic plug. It could change during gearbox removal?

If all you did was do the routine 600 hr. gearbox inspection and you have not had any prop strike then doing the out of round check on the crank shaft shouldn't be necessary. You may be referring to the prop strike information and special checks?

It was no prop strike. Just inspection after 600hrs. Gearbox was a little bit loud. Today I reinstalled and tested it. Now it's nice sound.
Tomorrow I'll check mag plug for sure if everything is ok. It's good to check oil filter too? I have almost new filter (just 5hrs) and I'm not sure.
