When I received my 912ULS there was a black lead, 2 into 1 that came in a bag with the engine and other connectors. I can not find in the manual where this lead is used. I wondering if it is for the quick start module possibly. The wiring diagram shows a lavender wire from the starter solenoid to the connectors. Any help is appreciated.

Yes, it is the wire for the advanced start modules (ASM).
    - gently push the locking tab for the bottom six-pin connector and slide it off the stainless steel mount.
    - disconnect the six-pin male and female connectors by lifting the center locking tab and pulling on the male side. gently rock the male connector back and forth to break the grip of the rubber seal.
    - You will see a 5 pins in the male connector and a rubber plug in one of the holes. Push the rubber plug out of the hole with a very small diameter awl, welding rod...
    - Insert the ASM pin and make sure it locks.
    - reassemble and repeat on other six-pin connector. Connect other end of wire to the spade connector on the starter relay.
