914 Turbo Servo problem

Seems like I have an issue with my wastegate servo motor on my 914. It was working properly till today. Yesterday I worked on the plane and flipped the tcu switch off in order to avoid the controller to work while I was doing some electrical work in the panel with the master on. Today before starting the plane I flipped the TCU on before starting the engine and everything seemed fine for few minutes then I seen the turbo light flashing so I went back to the dock (on floats) to make some test just to realize the servo barely move when I flip the master on. The plane/engine has 110hrs, Is that common to change the servo motor?? I thought it was more sturdy than that. Is there any fix or I need to order a new part?

make sure the cable is not wrapped up or kinked. Then test it again making sure the TCU switch is ON and the throttle is at idle before turning on your master switch.
you should not have to replace the servo, that would be very unusual as they are very durable.

Thank you Rob,

You may be right, when I put the master on I can hear the servo making noise and move just a bit but I cannot see where the cable could be jammed or kinked. I tried to force it to move with my fingers and can have it to cycle with help so I thought the motor could be tired and not powerful enough to pull the spring on the waste gate. I may try to replace the cable at first thing.

try removing the cable and see if it makes its proper cycle, approximately 100 degrees of travel. (from the 8:00 o'clock position to the 12:00 o'clock position and then return to the 8:00 o'clock position)

can any explain the servomotor for 914 engine life? when it required to replace? or servo motor replace with TBO?

It is an on-condition component.
The servo is checked at overhaul but not replaced unless it fails the test.
