Hi

After long flights when I switch both mags off, the engine carries on running normally. No mag drop. Have to kill it with the choke.

If I start it cold and warm it up I can kill it with the mage with no problem.

Any idea where to start looking.

Its a 2012 model with the new soft start modules built in.

    Hi Reilly,

    It's just a loose connection.
You need to check your grounds. The wires that go into the ignition switches aren't making good contact some where along there route. I would first check my ignition switches and tighten all the screws. I would double check the two white wires that come out of each ignition module 6 pin connector (in a corner hole) that run into the instrument panel if tightening ignition switches don't work. While you are at it tighten all your grounds in the engine compartment and inside the instrument panel, possibly at a grounding block? Consider all connections hand tight, but wrench loose until proven otherwise.
