180F is nothing and is actually a minimum. Thermostats for the coolant temp are set at 180F normally and some higher. Up in the 200's is normal. I'm not sure what type of valve you have on a radiator.

Hi Roger, thanks for your answer, I have information from my mechanic about the coolant radiator of my RANS S12XL, he said it is for Honda´s car CR-V, it works horizontal and originally has in the part who is broken now another line to reservoir. it seems the first owner modify this part and put a screw sealed with a resin. I´m preparing a new radiator for the plane. I would like to know, if you can say me what are the normal temperatures of work for rotax 912UL, CHT, EGT, Oil Temp, Oil Pressure, thanks a lot.

    Hi Javier,

The best place to find minimum and maximum temps is in the Operator's manual. Here is a fair sample of what many run.

Depending on your engine the CHT's tend to be about 15-20F below the oil temp. The oil temp depending on OAT's should be between 200-220F, EGT's tend to be between 1300-1500F depending on carb setup and throttle setting and oil pressure tends to be between 40-60 psi. This last variance tends to be more an issue with the sender's accuracy from plane to plane.
