Last winter my 912ULS with a Flydat engine monitor read 0 oil pressure on cold start up for about 1 1/2 minutes then registered normal (37-45 for me at around 4000-45000 rpm) Several folks suggested a new sender. This spring I installed a new, two-terminal sender and the oil pressure registered immediately but it read 85 psi at 60 degrees temp. Testing, I get pressure of 82 at 62 degree oil and anywhere from 80-50 psi with temps from 62-140 degrees and 2500 rpm. A steady 3500 or 4000 rpm reads 46 psi at 140-145 degrees. I am wondering if the old sender has maybe always read low, the new reads high or? The engine does have the stem type relief valve. Do I have a new normal or should I be concerned?
