sprag clutch replacing

Suspected damage to sprag clutch, engine comes round on compression, tends to kick back and won't start.

    Your sprag may be okay if you stop trying to start it with the kickback. If you continue to start it and it kicks back you may definitely need the sprag.

    You need to determine why you have the kickback and fix that first.

    It could be a weak battery, carb sync, plugs, gearbox, your starting technique, ect...
