What Altitude does a Turbo KNOW?

Do Rotax Turbo engines sense atmospheric pressure only or both pressure and temperature?
Asked in a different way: Does it know pressure altitude or density altitude?

A turbo doesn't really "know" anything other than preset limitations on pressure (wastegate) and temperature. The turbine is powered by the exhaust gasses and spins freely to push/pressurize inlet air to the inlet manifold, the max pressure being limited by the wastegate/bypass. At higher altitudes and temperatures the exhaust turbine simply spins faster because the thinner inlet air resistance is less, the end result being a more or less constant inlet manifold pressure at any density altitude.

Thanks James. After more reading, I see the 914 senses the temperature and pressure in the air box.

There is also an ambient pressure sensor, although I am unclear as to its function.
