Have you made sure no hose has a reduced radius? Not crimped, just bent enough to slow oil flow. In some tight bends on some planes I have inserted a spring and temps dropped 15-20F. You want to make sure all hoses have a fully open ID.

    Hi Roger,
I am pretty confident that neither crimps nor tight bends limit the flow of oil. The hoses are pretty rigid/solid and there are no tight bends. I'll try the muffler path and report back. Thanks for your advice.

Latest news on the reported temp issue are that a new muffler did the trick. We have not cut the old can open to check the inside since we are lacking comparison anyway. However, the temps have fallen back the moment we installed th new muffler to what we considered normal and no re-increase has been seen so far.
Thanks for all the hints an suggestions you chipped in.

    Hi Peter,

Glad you found the issue. I wouldn't have guessed the muffler. Good to know for future talks.
