New type spark plug deffect

Rotax introduced new type spark plug perhaps to grab more money from customers and don't let to mix automotive spark plug with "rotax" ones.

Rotax's change to the new plugs had nothing to do with money. NGK didn't want the liability any longer so Rotax was forced into a change. These plugs should be a good quality as I'm pretty sure they are made by Bosch and Rotax just had them name brand them.
Plugs should never be used if dropped and if you accidentally abuse them putting them in or taking them out damage could occur.

Looks like you just got a bad plug. It could happen to any plug Mfg.

p.s.
For those that don't know there is no need to gap these new plugs out of the box like the NGK's do.

Hi. Problem is that we have 5 of them from one engine. Looks like bad batch.

Make sure you fill out a SIR form. If the Rotax doesn't get this they will have no way of knowing or making sure it doesn't happen again. Rotax doesn't get its info from this forum.
