    Brass would most likely be heavier than these light bubble filled floats we have now. I haven't heard of any issues with the newest floats. Part #861-188.

    Are those the ones with the recessed brass sleeve? If so, those are the most recent ones that failed for me.

    Those are the ones. I haven't heard of anyone having issues with these so far.

    Looks like I might have to eat my words about not seeing any issues. I found out yesterday there have been some issues and maybe another float coming out? I'll have to check.

    My opinion.
    is not only a question of simple weight. We have the influence of more parameters. Weight, volume, different fuel, inlet pressure, counter pressure over the liquid surface, pressure difference to the mainfold, lever geometry, etc. just theory.

    Put a glass instead the sump, and compare the fuel level in real conditions, check the tightness of the valve with the pump on
    Check the EGT.
