I was hoping someone could clarify how to wire up the temperature sensors (VDO type sensors) on the 914 to the Garmin GEA24 EIS. I saw someone used 2 conductor 22AWG shielded wire and connected the signal pin on the GEA24 to the sensor and then the ground pin (related to the sensor on GEA24) to a ground point near the sensor. Since the temperature sensors ground to the engine block I would assume that the extra ground wire is not needed. The GEA24 gets ground via the power ground and the engine block serves as the ground for the sensor and both get tied together at some point. Wouldn't you just need to run a single conductor out to the sensor and then leave the ground pin on the GEA24 for that sensor un used? I thinking that the ground pin for each sensor would only be used for sensors that don't use the engine block as a ground.
