Spark Plug Wire Replacement

Anyone replace a damaged spark plug wire with a NON-Rotax spark plug wire? Can a "Belden" brand 7mm spark plug wire with a 'Tinned Metallic'
Spark Plug Wire Conductor Material replace the standard Rotax wire??
