Possible engine issue while flying

Setup:
1994 Rotax 912 UL (Stock)
IVO IFA UL
Kitfox Model 4
70-80s outside temp
I have been experiencing a weird engine phenomenon. When I fly I have no issues when doing pattern laps engine runs strong. When I start to go into cruise and flatten the pitch a little everything seems fine. Then after a little I will get 1 sharp single pulse that will hit the plane. Seems like engine is missing, it's not loud or severe but it's a good solid hit through the plane and it's gone and back to running strong again.
It won't do it again or multiple times quickly it's just once. It doesn't do it every time either. It doesn't seem to do it when I run the engine easier (Flatter pitch same RPM). I have only had 2 instances of this.
Is this a stater issue? Gas flow?
