Does anyone have any experience installing alternative cooling solutions to the 912, for example motorcycle water and oil coolers. There doesn't seem to be anything on the internet talking about alternatives and so am wondering why not.

Doing an install on a gyro with a a second hand 912 80hp and wanting a thrifty alternative.

I have a Gyro (Calidus), It has a 12"x18" Radiator that I determined was originally used on mid-1980s Volkswagens.
It is mounted Horizontally Flat, inches above the engine.
The duct above the engine supplies the air.
There is also a 10-inch radiator fan glued to the radiator with construction adhesive and a thermostat that activates the fan whenever the coolant reaches 100°C.

Any small block 4 cylinder automotive radiator should do the trick if installed properly.
There is nothing magic about this.

The Oil cooler is a 5x10" aftermarket style and installed broadside to the wind under the belly.

I’m not trying to crash this thread. But I have a cooling question and have not been able to figure out how to start a new thread.  Anybody share the secret?
