I am new working on the Rotax 912.
I have been investigating a grounding issue with the ignition modules and taped them when initially switching the module connections but my tape fell off at some point and I managed to lose track of where I was in the process.
While the engine appears to run fine either way, I'm concerned that there may be some difference in the ignition circuits and that I may cause a problem by having them connected incorrectly.
Are the top and bottom modules interchangeable?
