We have a couple of new old stock 914 fuel pumps that are about 20 years old. Is there a calendar life or does it make sense to use them if not ? I assume there are rubber parts inside which may have deteriorated over time.

Thanks, Mark

Those pumps don't have a 'rubber pumping membrane', although if you open one up you will find that there is an o-ring that seals the pump casing. They are not included in the 'rubber replacement regiment'.

But 20 years is a little too long - if not otherwise specified, engine parts are only considered serviceable to the TBO calendar time for the engine...
