rotax912uls carb
I have a question about the 912is carburetor. How strong should I tighten the throttle cable when attaching it to the THROTTLE VALVE LEVER? How strong should the choke cable when attaching to the CHOKE LEVER ?

Note: You are posting in the 915is section.
The 912is and 915is Engines are fuel injected and do not have Carburetors or ANY place to attach a Choke cable.
The fuel injected engine have throttle bodies and the cable need to be snugged up firmly.
I have never thought about putting a torque wrench to that bolt but 36 in∙lbs is what is in the installation manual.
See Section 73-00-00, Page 15 for all you need to know.

Thank you for your answer. As you pointed out,my engine is ROTAX912USL. In this case should I tighten throttle wire to valve lever 36 in-lbs?

Just to be clear, you are asking about tightening the nut/bolt that attaches the cable to the throttle arm, right?

Once again, All the questions can be answered by refering to the 912ULS Installation Manual.
See Section 73-00-00, Chapter 2.2, Page 15.
Excerpt:
Tightening Torque = 4 Nm (3.32 lb ft) (Suitable for 1.5 mm (.06 in.) Steel wire). (<---<<< ERROR!)

ADMIN !!!
The 912is Manual is Correct.
The 912ULS Manual Incorrectly converted 4 Nm to 3.32 Lb∙ft .... 4 Nm = 2.95 lb∙ft. = 35.4 in∙lb
