I bought a used plane with a low time 912ULS. On my first flights, I'm noticing low oil temperatures as indicated on a GRT EIS. With an ambient temperature of 50F here in southeastern NC, I never saw the oil temperature above 150F. I understand that is not warm enough to remove the moisture and this will cause damage to the engine over time. Do I need a thermostat? Could it be a sensor setup error in the EIS? Is there something else I should be looking at? Thanks!
