Master Toggle Switches

Hi all,
Two wires come from the ignition modules A and B. I am routing each wire to a pole on a separate toggle switch dedicated to each wire. Does the wire on the other pole go to ground or power. Are the mags hot when the switch is opened or closed. Geese I wish I understood "German". I look at the installation manual electrical schematic and I am not sure if the schematic shows a running engine or a resting engine.
