I am installing a 915 with an Airmaster AP340 electrically controlled prop.  I would like to install the Rotax external alternator, but the drive pulley for the alternator occupies the same space as the slip ring for the Airmaster.  I think I can machine the Rotax drive pulley to accommodate the Airmaster slip ring, but I don’t have drawings/dimensions for the pulley.

Anyone have familiarity with the F3c alternator drive pulley dimensions?  Better yet, anyone done the engineering required to make the F3c co-exist with an Airmaster prop slip ring assembly?

TIA,

Matt

We installed one on my Autogyro with a 914. I believe we got the spacer from Airmaster if I recall.

I have a query into Airmaster as well, but haven’t heard back yet.  I can’t see in your photo where the brush assembly is mounted.  Is it on the side opposite the alternator?

    Thanks for posting the picture.

Actually now that I remember we used the brush shaft that runs through the gearbox. Not sure if you can do that on the 914.

I am not sure either.  Probably not easily as I didn’t get the engine that is hydraulic governor ready so would likely have to convert to the other type.
