Flying this week, 2 hours at 8500' 67F, 250 hr 912 RV 12 and felt a very tiny, less than a second flutter.  It happened several times, and I have felt it before.  It is hard to describe, an almost impercetable flutter.  I could never see any change in any instrument until this time, approximately a 10 rpm twitch (downward) in the needle on my Dynon.  I also have the illusive low pressure syndrome that plagues RV-12's, but this seems different.  It seems more like ignition related but it always starts perfectly and my ignition checks are also perfect.

Suggestions?

Certainly a thought, but doubtful.  Dean at Lockwood has suggested pinched carb vent lines.  The carbs just had their 200 hour service (by that shop).  The lines (mostly the right one) was indeed pinched between the bowl and the clip.  Im not sure if it was conplete or not, not real sure other than looking at it to tell.  If it was pinched would that make the mixture too rich or too lean?  Interesting, this skipping I'm feeling got better pulling on the choke.  It did not change with any combination of the ignition modules.

Was your electrical fuel pump turned off? I’ve experienced the same symptoms when flying with the fuel pump off.  Van states that the fuel pump should not be turned off in flight.

No fuel pump always on, I am switching to the higher pressure pump tomorrow.

Would you mind sharing information on the higher pressure fuel pump and let me know if that solved the problems. Thanks Marcella
