2016 Evektor SportStar MAX/912ULS with 500 hours started beautifully and ran fine for several hours after annual condition inspection. (balanced carbs with vac gauges during inspection). Then difficult to start (cold and hot) but runs fine for almost exactly 11 minutes before stumbling at idle - idle gets rougher and eventually quits within 1 minute. Restart requires throttle opened 1 to 1-1/2 turns and continuous cranking through intermittent firing until engine catches.  Runs normally for almost exactly 11 minutes when rough idle begins again until additional throttle is applied. Switching mags L/R has no apparent effect on running. Applying choke worsens roughness. Aux fuel pump off - running only mechanical pump. At 2500 rpm / 16.6" MP, fuel pressure is 4.9 psi, fuel flow is1.8 gph. At 1700 rpm / 12.8" MP, fuel pressure is 5.0 psi, fuel flow drops from 1.8 to 0.4 gph before quitting.

First I would question what was done during the annual? Was anything fuel related touched or changed? Carbs, fuel pump, fuel hoses, ect...

Sure sounds like fuel starvation. Check all filters, check bajo bolts, Maybe blow all fuel line outs.if the pump isn't reasonably new you may need to replace it.

    Here are some inital thoughts:

    1. How much fuel is in the float bowls when it quits?

    2. Blocked fuel tank vent? Remove the fuel tank filler cap and try it.

    3. Carb icing? Unlikely I know.

Seems like it's running out of the available fuel.

11 minutes is around the time my header tank would go empty of fuel.

Sounds like a supply fuel line problem in the line from tanks to the mechanical pump and carbs.

    Things I would check:

    Fuel tank vent

Finger screen in the tank outlet

Flow to the header tank if there is one.

    Any inline fuel filter

I would also suspect any fuel line that was involved in the annual,  look for kinks, possibly restriction/flap inside a line that can happen at a fitting on install.

Will update when we find the problem.
