THERE IS A WIRE THAT NEEDS TO BE INSTALLED TO LET IT KNOW ITS IN START MODE. NOT SURE ABOUT WHICH PIN OR WHERE IT GOES TO.

    Ken ,

There is a bulletin that explains how to wire the soft start. It also explains it in the 912 installation manual. Basically, it's a wire that goes from each module plug to the start solenoid. When the starter solenoid is is turned on, The voltage which goes to the solenoid also activates the soft start modules. Don't have it right at hand but I can find the bulletin no. for you if you like. Roger may have the info more readily available. Once you see the wiring diagram, it's a simple installation.

    Ken,

Look up service instruction bulletin #SI-912-020-R3. It's a pretty through explanation. You might also look at Lockwood's TIPS AND TRICKS FOR THE IDEAL 912 INSTALLATION. They have pictures as well.

    Hi Kenneth,

Here are the pages from SB912-020 that apply to the new modules. Notice two places I have put an arrow by just after the first paragraph.

What was the cost of the mag upgrade. Sure sounds like the answer.
