Hi guys, I have a Zenair 601HD that has a electric fuel pump, but no fuel pressure gauge in the panel. I like to monitor fuel pressure, especially on low wing aircraft. So my engine is an older 912ul 80 HP. it does have the fuel block instead of the simple T connections. Can you not just remove the Hex Bolt on the block which as I understand is used to hook up an external gauge for the purpose of an annual or maintenance and install your 1/8th npt sender directly into that port?

I’ve searched this site and most peoples advice is to install a T adapter, then hook hose line to the sender then wire to the gauge. Seems like a lot more work then just unscrewing the port bolt and screwing in the sender.
probably too simple….so what am I missing?
