Would I be creating any problems if I shortened these PCV lines?  I have quite a bit of slack and would like to clean up these lines for a more accurate fit.

Thanks!

    Great question Rob,

Sling install instructions say to shorten them. After I shortened them I read the Rotax install manual which says to not shorten them.

I also talked with some Rotax service centers who do reiterate that Rotax says not to shorten them but their personal opinion is that it really shouldn't matter but that Rotax says not to shorten it because they haven't tested it with shorter hoses.

Lastly, I have had some fuel pressure fluctuations which I havent 100% solved and just kind of fixed themselves but I dont think the shorter hoses could cause that. If I had some wondering manifold pressure problems I would say could be PCV valve hose related but I havent had any issues with manifold pressure.

Rob, in my opinion it will make no difference.  Yes Eric is correct, Rotax has not tested shorter lines and the effect it may have.  I am only going on logic.  The blow-off valve is all pressure readings and not a flowing component.  As such it should not affect it.

    Cheers
