Generator B doesn't come online

HI,
Engine 912iS (1400h)
The engine starts normally but at 2500 rpm the Generator B doesn't come online.
As far as understand the engine starts on Battery then Generator B and if Generator A is OK
the engine will be powered by Generator A and B will be available for the plane electronic equipments.
Is it possible that the engine starts even if the Generator B is defective.
Looking at engine panel (BUDS) when the engine is running Generator A is ON Generator B is OFF but it seems
that is the normal behavior.
