I am facing a problem, that I am using BUDS (Level 3) to view engine parameters.

During the engine start, the connection of Lanes A & B lost i.e Both warning lamps becomes Red.

and to re connect it again I need to turn off / on the both lane switches one by one.

What will be the probable cause of this failure???

    Hafeez,
Honestly I have not tried running BUDS during a engine start so I am not sure what to expect. Our aircraft is in the paint shop so I cannot help much for a couple of weeks.

My question is why are you using BUDS during a engine start? BUDS is a diagnostic program to look at the memory and examine errors. It is not meant to be a replacement for a instrument panel.
What lights turn red? the lights in the BUDS program or on the panel? both?

Also, I know you are desperate for answers but please read the rules for posting (look above to see the "Rules" tab) You have cross-posted and interrupted a couple of other people's posts with your questions and this is rude behaviour.

    Hi Rob,

I have run BUDS on the test stand with the 912is in Nassau and it should work fine otherwise I don't think you would need the tach and other panel instruments in BUDS. I'm not sure what his problem is at start.
We would pull different sensors to watch the error codes and lights. We pulled lots of sensors at one time and the engine still ran, but was a little rough. It may be his sequence at start or a wiring issue.

Thanks Rodger, now I remember seeing the much the same demonstration (I have good memory, its just very short)

Hafeez; What type of lane/start/master switches are you using?

Can you please provide me separate panel diagrams so that i can resolve that issue, I have verified the complete wiring and found always correct but the connection problem still exists

    Hi Hafeez,

I believe you are supposed to have a 120 ohm resister between pins 2 & 7. Is this done? It may just be a program glitch or a . Does every thing run okay after you have switched lane A & B off then on again? If every thing is okay after the on/off cycle it may not be something you'll be able to fix. I'll be at a Rotax class later this week and I'll ask around.
