Is this an indication of a short?

try to start the engine with better battery. this phenomena already discussed here.   

The battery is giving normal amp and voltage indications, but I will do what you say. Thanks

Changed to new battery (20 AH), still the ECU lights ar both on, and inoperative. If anyone still thinks this issue has been covered here, please point me to the thread, instead of just saying it has been covered. Unfortunately, I don't have qualified engineers available locally.

Already checked that "there is no connection between engine and aircraft ground". Main Failure seems to be "Crank Bias Negative Voltage".

Engine is relatively low time (380 hours).

Thanks to any help, or any tip to a qualified Rotax shop near Barcelona with experience with 912IS. Believe it or not, I have not been able to locate one. 

There are two Crankshaft Position Sensors mounted to the Black Ignition Housing just Below and Aft of the #4 Exhaust Pipe.
Remove the two connectors.
There are no published values for the sensors, but if you Ohm them they should at least measure the same value.
If one measures as a short, I would suspect that one.

Otherwise, remove one connector at a time.
If you can get one lane light to extinguish, The Sensor with the removed connector is the faulty one.

When you power up the Lanes, BOTH Lane Lights are ON before even attempting to start. ???
