I need a new air filter for my Sling TSi with the Rotax 915 on short notice, does anyone know if the K&N filter is a standard part that I could find from a local retailer? Or is it a custom part that has to be ordered online? I know the Rotax part number is 825900, but I can't find any info on the K&N part number.

Hey Rob, you do know that the filter is washable / reusable, right? Normally no need to replace.

In any case, I second Peter on the K&N model number RC-4570.

K&N air filters are washable. Do not use gasoline or other heavy solvents or they will ruin the filter.  Use something like “Oil Eater” or Simple Green”. I like Oil Eater because it’s water based, biodegradable and will not harm the filter. I’ve used it for 25 years. Plus I use it to clean oily engines, wipe oily or greasy residue off the plane and use it to clean floors. I even use it at home to clean the greasy residue off the stove hood or grease on the stove top. It works so well the grease will start to run off before you get a rag on it. You can even dilute it if necessary with plain water.

I know tons of people who use it and they all like it and it will not cause damage to anything.

Thanks for the replies! The rubber has cracked on mine where it attaches to the turbo, so that is why I need a replacement. Unfortunately no amount of washing will fix the crack that is letting unfiltered air into the turbo.
