Did you run RPMs up to 2500 for about 8 seconds to swap ECU from Gen 2 to Gen 1?

I’ve tried a few combinations along the lines you mentioned tonight to no avail. I have an ems backup switch which in my normal process is off before start. I’ve done it with it on and off as well as my EFIS backup switch on and off and neither change my situation unfortunately. I’ve check the ohms on everything I can, made sure grounds were all proper and that the A and B sides were isolated. My wiring harnesses all look good as far as I can tell. I’m going to see if I can get someone with the BUDS software and a dongle to read my ECU’s and see if that helps.

Yes, multiple times and for much longer than needed. I was really hoping for an easy fix but I’m not finding it.

Hi Jeffery,
I've had similar experiences with my 915iS in the first 35 hours operation. Some very odd indications on the G3X.
I suggest you test the Gen A, and Gen B resistance, voltage and current output. Refer to the 915iS MMH.
Some of my experiences....
- during one flight - the main volts displayed the actual battery voltage, and AMPs displayed 0. TSN 10 hours. Not seen again.
- during run up, Land A and Lane B warning lights started flashing. Solved by re-starting the engine. TSN ~25 hours
- The warning light came on, the AMPs was reading -24 then flicked to 12, then back to -14 and then back to 12. Grounded. TSN ~35 hours.
The engine failed the oil jet flow rate test at 2.5 L/MIN. I tested the Gen A, and Gen B resistance, current, voltage output prior to stripping the engine for the oil jet replacement. These values were outside the factory specifications. See the attached photo to see the difference between my unit and the replacement. There is significant heat damage - I expect Gen A and Gen B would have failed very soon if not replaced.

UPDATE
I had my ECU downloaded and it's showing Gen A only putting out about 9volts. I don't know why it would be doing that. I'm curious what this does tell me though. It is putting out voltage, so it's not a wiring problem ??? Could this be a voltage regulator or something along those lines? Any ideas would be helpful.
