    Michael,

I have 185* F thermal element and usually, while cruising, I have temperature stabilized at around 89-90 degrees C and it is ok for me

It is very simple to change elements and they are not expensive, so you can see which one is working better for you and change it later on if needed.

The Improved Racing Thermostats has been taken apart and closely examined.

Not good for aircraft use! Would not recommend using it!

Internal materials are subpar and may cause a safety issue.

Will provide information/details on a recommended oil thermostat soon.

I'd be interested to hear your recommendations for a coolant thermostat, too. Many are using the Thermo-Bob kit.

Do you have any specific details on what was found inside the Improved Racing thermostat that was so concerning?  It's unusual to hear such emphatic criticism and dire warnings about a product with no supporting evidence.  I'm not saying there isn't any evidence; just that I'd like to see it.

Any update on the recommended thermostat?
