BUDS log viewer

Was this ever released?  I've got the level one SW and the log viewer portion in my software is grayed out.

Currently, at least in the USA, you can take a program from one of the independent training centres and get copy of the log viewer.  The internal help system is the only documentation on the program.  You need to be an iRMT in good standing and have taken the injected installation and systems program to take the log viewer and diagnostic program.  

We continue to request that they perhaps consider opening up the documentation on the viewer in the heavy manual.  The good thing if you take the class is the viewer is given out to all the students at that time.  It is however available to use on a Mac also, too bad the BUDS will not work on Mac.

Question, If I go take the diagnostic training and I get access to the BUDS reader, is that a forever training certificate like the Injected Installations cert or does that require renewal every two years?

Specialty programs do not require a renewal, they are "special".  The core programs do require renewal and if you keep it current that can be done online with one of the instructors.  The exception to this is the heavy program, you need to attend that because it is very workshop specific and adds all the changes every 2 years. 

The BUDS is not restricted to anything, you simply need a dongle from Rotax and the heavy manual.  I would certainly recommend the specialty training however.  The Log Viewer program however is only allowed once you attend the injected training and then take the Diagnostic training for the Log Viewer.  There is no manual for the viewer, it is in the help section of the Log Viewer program.  

I agree, nice that the Mac will work with the Viewer.  Too bad it will not work with the BUDS program.
